The province Rayong is located on the shore of the Gulf of Thailand, about 180 kilometres from Bangkok. It covers an area of approximately 3,552 square kilometres and has a population of 530,000 people.
Neighbouring provinces are Chon Buri and Chanthaburi.
The province is very hilly . Nevertheless the province consists mostly of low coastal plains.
Rayong is just beginning to gain popularity. With a 100 kilometre-long coastline, it boastst several beautiful beaches and scenic waterfalls amid natural surroundings.Rayong is also rich in sea life resources and considered a major agricultural and industrial province.
